Team New Zealand suffer first loss

Team New Zealand have suffered their first loss of the Louis Vuitton Trophy yachting regatta off Auckland.

Their winning streak ended at five races after they went down to French syndicate Aleph by 38 seconds after experiencing problems with their spinnaker early in the race.

It was Aleph's second win.

Results on Monday from the Louis Vuitton Trophy yachting regatta off Auckland:

Round six: Aleph (France) bt Team New Zealand by 38sec.

Team NZ 5 wins 1;
Azzurra,  All4One, Team Origin and Mascalzone Latino 3 wins 2 equal;
Artemis 2 wins 6;
Aleph 1 win 7;
Synergy 0 wins 8.
