The Volvo Ocean Race boats have been packed up and being shipped to Sharjah for the end of the second leg.

They're being taken from an undisclosed Indian Ocean location on an armed ship because the threat of piracy is too great to sail.

Camper Team New Zealand skipper Chris Nicholson said they've got a lot of work to do before racing resumes again.

Nicholson said they'll do a full debrief of the leg so far, as well as an analysis of the other teams and the upcoming stage.

The second leg will finish with a sprint into Abu Dhabi, expected to be in five days' time.
