The New Zealand Sevens side has brushed aside Tonga 26-0 to all but secure a Cup quarter-final in the Adelaide Sevens in Australia

New Zealand had to contend with a contentious first-half sin binning of Zar Lawrence but still managed to jump out to 12-0 halftime lead through tries to Nafi Tuitavake and Ben Souness.

Further tries in the second stanza to Tomasi Cama and DJ Forbes wrapped up the comfortable win.

New Zealand next play Argentina in their final pool game at 10:18pm (NZT).
