Vuvuzelas have been banned from Eden Park for Saturday night's Tri Nations Test between the All Blacks and South Africa.

The plastic horns have provided a unique, but unpopular soundtrack to the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Many players, coaches and broadcasters have complained about the constant drone.

Eden Park general manager of sales and marketing Tracy Morgan says vuvuzelas or any type of horn will be confiscated at this weekend's sold out match.

The ban is simply about making sure the park is looking after the patrons, she said.
