Claims that former All Black prop Carl Hayman has signed a two year deal with French team Toulon seem to be off the mark.

Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has poured cold water on reports Hayman is set to join the French club when his Newcastle contract expires in May.

A leading UK newspaper claims the Newcastle Falcons captain has agreed a two year deal worth half a million euros a year to play in the south of France and will not be returning home in time for the World Cup.

But Boudjellal says they have not signed him and he thinks Hayman will return to New Zealand.

The NZRU says as far as they are concerned, negotiations with Hayman are still 'live'.

Meanwhile, Boudjellal says Sonny Bill Williams still has not finalised his playing future with the club.
