Contract discussions have begun with the New Zealand Rugby Union to bring Aaron Mauger and Carl Hayman back to New Zealand in 2010.
Both Mauger and Hayman are currently playing in England and were approached by All Blacks assistant coach Wayne Smith on the end of year tour.
The former All Blacks both come off contract at their English clubs at the end of the current European season and General Manager of Professional Rugby in New Zealand Neil Sorensen told reporters the process to bring them home has started.
Sorensen said although they haven't got as far as offering the contracts but said both players are considering a return to New Zealand this year and could be back in New Zealand before the start of this years Air New Zealand Cup.
The European regular season finishes in May.
