McAlister back to 100%

Blues and All Blacks midfielder Luke McAlister is looking to put an injury plagued beginning to the Super 14 season behind him.

Having missed the opening four rounds of the season due to a calf strain, McAlister was hoping to return against the Brumbies last weekend, only to suffer an injury to his nose while training.

McAlister says he is now back to a 100% and available to play the Waratahs on Saturday night.

He says he will play for the development side on Wednesday and will be available for selection.

McAlister says he has empathy for Carl Hayman's decision to sign with French club Toulon rather than return to the All Blacks given he faced a similar dilemma himself.
