All Blacks winger Zac Guildford dominates the nominees for New Zealand rugby's annual awards evening.

The 20-year-old's been named in three categories - Age Grade Player of the year, Maori Player and Air New Zealand Cup Player of the year.

Southland's Josh Bekhuis and All Black Mike Delany are in the running against Guildford for Air New Zealand Cup player of the year.

Two Chiefs players, hooker Aled de Malmanche and Mils Muliaina along with Hurricanes Centre Ma'a Nonu are up for Super 14 player of the year.

The Charles Munro Trophy will be awarded to the rugby volunteer of the year, for the first time.

The All Blacks are a notable absentee in this year's team prize in the New Zealand Rugby Awards.

The national team's mixed year has seen them overlooked in favour of beaten Super 14 finalist the Chiefs, Air New Zealand Cup champions Canterbury, Heartland champions Wanganui and the
World Champion Under 20s.

The awards evening is on December 17 in Auckland.
