Representatives for Dan Carter are said to be disappointed after a "hoax"  trader reported to be selling racey images of the All Blacks star was listed on TradeMe

A TradeMe member listed for sale photos allegedly of Carter described as "more racey than a racehorse", but with no evidence they existed.

The pictures apparently included a "raunchy at-home striptease" and would have the New Zealand Rugby Football Union "squirming", the trader Perpignanpatty said.

The auction was posted at 7pm on Friday, but were taken down by website staff at 9.40pm.

A TradeMe spokesman said the auction was removed because Perpignanpatty operated multiple memberships on the site in breach of the site's rules.

Essentially Group's Dean Hegan said on Saturday that Carter was disappointed with the claims and would not be making any comment about the "hoax offer".
