The Brumbies won a Super rugby thriller Saturday night, beating the Sharks 24-22 at Canberra Stadium.
The South Africans are winless from five outings this season while the Brumbies have won three in a row.
The home side scored two tries to one in a match that started out scrappy as both sides traded early penalty goals.
It was not until the 30th minute that the first try was scored through Brumbies prop Ben Alexander.
He also scored the second try of the match early in the second half after the Brumbies were gifted a five metre scrum when Sharks fullback Stefan Terblanche made a shocking error.
He knocked the ball back over his own dead ball line after trying to bat a kick for touch back into the field of play.
The Sharks went to the break with a 16-13 lead and stayed in touch in the second half thanks to a faultless kicking performance from No.10 Andy Goode.
He finished with 17 points after kicking six from six to keep his side in touch before Brumbies playmaker Matt Giteau kicked his side to victory with a penalty 10 minutes before full time.
The Sharks, boasting 11 Springboks, have now lost nine of their past 10 Super 14 matches.
