The Blues look likely to be without centre Isaia Toeava for several weeks, with the All Blacks back seeing a specialist to clear up a leg problem.

Toeava left the field during the win over the Highlanders in Dunedin and says it appears to be an upper leg injury.

The pain starts in his glutes but he will wait and see the outcome of a scan on Monday afternoon.

Anthony Tuitavake may be ready for a return at centre, having just recovered from a pelvic injury sustained during the NPC.
