If you feel good, why retire? That's the approach Warriors skipper Steve Price will be taking next season.
Price, who turns 36 early next year, is signed on to play for the Warriors in 2010.
But will he call it quits after that?
Price told tvnz.co.nz that will depend on how both he and the club are feeling this time next year.
"It's gonna depend on how the club is feeling and how I'm feeling. All those things will be taken into consideration," he said.
The oldest man in the NRL is disappointed that people keep bringing up his age and believes as long as he's still competing it shouldn't matter.
"I get really disappointed when people keep bringing up your age. I think as long as you're competing in the game, why is the number beside your date of birth got anything to do with it?
"I'm really proud to be playing in the NRL at my age but I don't think it should be a big issue.
"When that decision comes [to retire or keep playing] if I'm still competing and still enjoying it why wouldn't you play?."
Price also shared a joke when asked about the synergy between him and Brett Favre - who has just announced he will keep playing in the NFL at the age of 39.
"Brett Favre doesn't get tackled as much as I do. Someone catches the ball for him at training, no-one does that for me," he said with a grin.
Price has also been in the spotlight due to the fact he's missed so much of the Warriors season through injury.
It's been suggested Price should give up representative football with Queensland and Australia to focus his efforts on the NRL.
But Price believes he's no different to any other player and said he was simply unlucky to be injured this year.
"I don't think it's any different to any other player. This Origin series in particular was more lethal to everyone. You see Israel Folau, Petero Civoniceva and Kurt Gidley not playing.
"Any injuries I've got this season have been from playing for the Warriors."
Coach Ivan Cleary has taken a wait and see approach but knows the question will be raised in 2009.
"It's probably a decision between all of us as to what's best for Pricey and what's best for the club," Cleary said.
"It's been looked at before for other players and it's something we'll have to look at later on."
