Queensland Rugby League general manager Ross Livermore is to meet Origin coach Mal Meninga and team manager Steve Walters on Tuesday following allegations some Maroon players used a home-made part drug and broke curfew during Origin III camp.

It's understood Meninga has spoken to his players about the allegations which he described at the weekend as "scurrilous rubbish".

Walters has denied any knowledge of players mixing the prescription sleeping drug Stilnox with energy drink Red Bull as alleged, producing similar affects to cocaine or ecstasy.

"We've got a meeting today but until we all sit down and talk I can't really say anything," said Livermore of the three-man Origin review meeting at the QRL's new office alongside Suncorp Stadium.

"I haven't (spoken to players). But I know Mal and the management have. And I've spoken to Mal and the management," Livermore said.

"I don't think it's my thing to drill down to the players at this stage. That's handled by the people who had control of them in the camp."

Apart from the allegations players consumed the drug mix, which does not include anything on the sporting banned list, the players were accused of misbehaving badly at a city hotel a week before the third Origin game and of being out drinking in the early hours the day before the game.

NSW avoided its first 3-0 Origin series whitewash since 1995 with a 26-18 win in Origin III.

Meninga had allowed his players to celebrate their series win in the early part of the Origin III camp in when he also turned 50.

Meninga ordered the drinking to stop on the Friday night after the players attended a sponsor's dinner that day in Brisbane but it's been reported some players were out drinking on the Gold Coast on Monday night before the Wednesday game.
