McKinnon ruled out with infection

Fullback Wade McKinnon has been ruled out of the Warriors side for their NRL season-opening clash against Gold Coast at Skilled Park on Sunday.

An infection has prevented McKinnon training this week and on Thursday night he was ruled out.

Joel Moon, originally part of a five-man bench, is now a confirmed starter on the interchange bench.

The Warriors left Auckland on Friday morning for Brisbane with a squad of 17 players.

A Junior Warriors player will be added to the line-up ads 18th man on Sunday following their NYC match against Gold Coast.

Warriors: Lance Hohaia, Kevin Locke, Brent Tate, Jerome Ropati, Manu Vatuvei, James Maloney, Brett Seymour, Sam Rapira, Aaron Heremaia, Russell Packer, Lewis Brown, Ben Matulino, Micheal Luck (capt).
Interchange: Jeremy Latimore, Jesse Royal, Sione Lousi, Joel Moon.
