The Kiwis travelled to Huddersfield on Wednesday for a look at Galpharm Stadium, venue for their vital Four Nations clash against England on Sunday.

With authorities not allowing teams to train on the ground, the Kiwis took the chance after their training run this morning to have a walk around the stadium.

The venue is familiar to some of the Kiwis including Fuifui Moimoi, Lance Hohaia, Sam Perrett, Thomas Leuluai, Frank Pritchard and Greg Eastwood. They all played there in the 14-20 first Test loss against Great Britain in 2007 while Jeff Lima was in the touring squad but missed that match.

The Kiwis, staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in central Leeds, have been using the John Charles Centre of Sport as their training base.

They had a strength session there on Tuesday followed by field run and a pool recovery run on Wednesday.

Centre Steve Matai (eye) has been ruled out of consideration for Sunday's Test.

Coach Stephen Kearney is planning to name his side on Friday morning.
