Bulldogs halfback Brett Kimmorley claims his cheekbone is as strong as it was before he suffered a triple fracture as he prepares for his comeback in Friday night's NRL preliminary final against Parramatta.

Kimmorley said he was extremely confident he would be right to take on the Eels in the grand final qualifier after getting through an opposed session on Sunday and another vigourous training run on Monday.

"I got cleared to play last week so the extra week was terrific," Kimmorley said on Monday, three weeks after sufffering the multiple fracture against the Warriors.

"A couple of metal plates make it pretty strong, so I've got no doubt that strength-wise with the cheekbone everything's fine.

"I've done two good weeks of training, a bit of contact, so I think I'm equally as strong on both sides as what I was four weeks ago.

"I'm like the other 34 players playing on Friday night, we're all at as much risk as each other.

Bulldogs coach Kevin Moore said he wasn't concerned the veteran playmaker would be targetted by Eels defenders, and was confident Kimmorley would be up to anything Parramatta threw his way.
