Brisbane say they are open to the idea of welcoming Denan Kemp back to the Broncos after the Warriors released the flying winger on Monday.

Kemp was allowed to forgo the final year of his two-year deal with the Warriors in 2010 after struggling to break into the NRL squad this season.

The 22-year-old arrived in Auckland earlier this year as a point-scoring sensation, having crossed for 20 tries in 28 appearances with the Broncos, but failed to transfer that form.

Kemp featured in nine of the Warriors' first ten games but played just once more against Brisbane in round 17 to finish with a grand total of one try from ten outings with his new club.

He expressed his desire to return home in a bid to establish himself as an NRL player, with the Broncos indicating they were keen to talk to the Brisbane Wests junior.

"If Denan or his manager approached the club about the possibility of coming back to the Broncos, then the club would be more than happy to have a talk to them about it," Broncos football manager Peter Nolan said.

Kemp said he was grateful to the Warriors for heeding his request.

"While I haven't played as much NRL football as either the club or I would have liked, I have still enjoyed myself here," Kemp said in a statement released by the club.

"But in the end I really wanted the chance to go back home to try to establish myself."
