Sydney's Daily Telegraph has raised eyebrows on this side of the Tasman by picking the Warriors to finish last in 2010.
Despite the Warriors impressing in the pre-season so far, the Daily T's sports editor Phil Rothfield has backed them to take out the wooden spoon.
"They've been a massive disappointment," Rothfield wrote.
"I think halfback has been their biggest problem and I can't see Buster [Brett] Seymour solving it. "
Does Rothfield have any basis to his argument or is it just a case of Aussies being Aussies?
Clearly the New Zealand TAB doesn't agree - they have the Cronulla Sharks as favourites to win the wooden spoon, offering $40 for them to win the premiership.
Meanwhile the Warriors are paying $30 along with the Newcastle
Knights and Sydney Roosters, while the Canberra Raiders are paying
$35.

I really feel we are ready to go all the way to the semi's with the mix of young talent and experienced warlords and bar any major injuries it is the year of the warriors.

He writes to stir up people, it keeps him his job. He has at most a basic knowledge of the game. I can't see the warriors doing any worst than last year. Hopefully a couple or so of the younger players can really make an impact this year.

Lets all agree with him, when the warriors are picked to do well they end up at the bottom so maybe if they're expected to come last they'll actually come first. But i think we should finish 6-10 with the knights last

Warriors are probably going to struggle to make the eight but last? No way - I'll bet my house on it (that I don't own)!
