What do we know so far?
We've had some answers and a lot of questions arise about the
new season of Reservoir Hill so far! We thought we'd collate them
so you can see what's going on.
Any thoughts or theories about the below can be posted on our
message board

Episode 8
What we found out...
- Lilli blackmailed Matt to lie to Beth, saying that
unless he did what she said, he wouldn't see his baby. Tara never
told Matt that she had killed Mr Jay.
- The only lie that Matt told Beth was the one about Tara saying
she killed Mr Jay. So he really did love her after all!
- James found medical records that proved Lilli wasn't pregnant.
Lilli killed James when he confronted her about it.
- Lilli told Mrs Jay that Tara killed Mr Jay and she believed
Lilli. Mrs Jay wanted to protect Tara, so she went along with the
Beth charade.
- Detective Hannagan was on Mr Jay's side the whole time. Mr Jay
apparently had much of Reservoir Hill under his command.
- Mr Jay had built the community of Reservoir Hill to be a perfect
family place, and when Tara started misbehaving, he decided she
needed to be punished.
- Mr Jay helped Lilli to cover up her responsibility for James'
death, and made Beth think she had done it.
- 'The Few' are the hoodies. They wanted to bring James' killer to
justice (he was a part of The Few too), and when they realised Beth
wasn't his killer, they decided to protect her.
- Mrs Jay told Beth where her father lived and she was finally
reunited with him.

Episode 7
What we found out...
- Sammy and Monika revealed to Beth where Lilli was
hiding, so long as Beth handed herself in to police
afterwards.
- Lilli told Beth that Tara killed Mr Jay because she found out he
was lying to her about her real father not loving her anymore, and
that her real father had been looking for her.
- Lilli witnessed Tara killing Mr Jay, and Tara forced Lilli to lie
about it and say Mr Jay had simply run off.
- Matt revealed that he lied about loving Beth, saying that
'everyone lies'.
- Beth stole the police car and drove off, as she's no longer sure
that she killed James.
Questions that have arisen...
- Why would Matt have lied about loving Beth? Is there a
wider conspiracy against Beth, that he was forced to be a part
of?
- If Beth didn't actually kill James or Mr Jay, who did??
- In Beth's 7th dream, it appears that several people wanted Mr Jay
dead...James and Mrs Jay seem very angry towards Mr Jay. Could one
of them killed him?
- Could Beth's real dad be the only one who will tell her the
truth?

Episode 6
What we found out...
- Sammy is helping Lilli because Lilli has nobody else to
turn to. She won't tell Beth where Lilli is.
- Monika is now helping Beth to discover what James was working on
before he died.
- James was apparently unwilling to accept that Mr Jay had simply
left the family.
- Mrs Jay says that Mr Jay was hurtful to all of their family, but
that he did the most damage to Tara.
- Mr Jay turned Tara into a horrible person. Before that, she was
really lovely. Tara eventually came to hate Mr Jay though.
- Mrs Jay says that Beth was the one who killed James, and that she
(Mrs Jay) covered up the fact that Beth did it by getting Lilli to
pick up the torch, so Lilli's fingerprints were on it.
- Mr Jay made Mrs Jay get rid of all the photos of Beth's dad, but
Mrs Jay hid a few.
- Mrs Jay thinks that Beth should go and find her real father, as
he will be the only one who can help her to control Tara.
Questions that have arisen...
- Who or what was James looking for when he did all that
digging around Reservoir Hill...did he think Mr Jay was dead?
Someone else?
- Did Beth really kill James, or is Mrs Jay lying for some reason?
Why would she lie?
- In Beth's 6th dream, in the hidden clue with James, why is he
digging two graves?
- We still need to find out the meaning of some of the evidence in
James' room - such as the hospital records. They say "L. Jay", so
this could be Lucas Jay (Mr Jay) or Lilli Jay...

Episode 5
What we found out...
- All the students at Beth's school seem to think she
killed James
- Tara bullied Monika relentlessly, which is why Monika hates her
so much
- Sammy seems to be helping Lilli avoid Beth
- The car following Beth belongs to Monika
- James was scanning pictures of hospital records the day he died -
he was looking for his father in admissions reports
Questions that have arisen...
- Can Beth no longer trust Sammy?
- Why would Sammy have been hiding Lilli from Beth?
- Did James find anything about his father, Mr Jay, in the hospital
reports? Why was he even looking in hospital reports?

Episode 4
What we found out...
- Lilli's fingerprints were on the murder weapon
- Beth and Matt are back together
- Matt claims that Tara told him she killed Mr Jay
- Mrs Jay wishes she could forget what's happened in the past, like
Beth has
- Mr Jay's first name is Lucas and he appears to have worked in the
property market, based on the info Beth found in James'
wardrobe
- James' "freaky friends" blackmailed Petra into looking for clues
in his room.
Questions that have arisen...
- Why is Beth's dad's face scratched out in the photo
found in James' wardrobe?
- Could Tara really have killed Mr Jay, like Matt says? Or is Matt
lying for some reason? Or did Tara lie to him?
- Who are James' so-called "freaky friends" who blackmailed Petra?
What did they want her to find in James' room?
- In Beth's 4th dream, Lilli asks, "Are you coming to Marbletown?"
What or where is Marbletown?
- Also in Beth's 4th dream, Lilli says to Beth, "You're
not coming at me with the torch, are you?" Does this mean that Beth
may have been James' killer, not Lilli?

Episode 3
What we found out...
- Lilli is too scared to come home because of
Beth/Tara
- Beth thinks Tara could be coming back permanently
- Beth's stepdad left the family without any warning
- The person in the mysterious black car appears to be following
Beth
- Monika is monitoring the activities of Beth and other people who
live in Reservoir Hill
- From Beth's third dream we can see that the faceless man and the
scarecrow man know each other and obviously don't like each because
they're fighting
- Also from her third dream, we can see that the scareman man and
Mrs Jay appear to be married, as she's in a wedding dress and he's
twirling her around.
Questions that have arisen...
- Still don't know who could be in the black car
- Why is Monika monitoring Beth and other Reservoir Hill
inhabitants?
- Does Monika really want to kill Beth?
- Is the scarecrow man that Mrs Jay is married to Beth's real dad
or her stepdad?
- Where is Beth's real dad?
- Is it James who is speaking in Beth's dream, when you hear
someone say "Get away from her!"? If so, who is he talking
to?
- Also in Beth's third dream, why does Mrs Jay call Beth a "stupid
girl" repeatedly?

What we found out...
- Lilli went missing before Mrs Jay discovered James
dead
- Beth can't remember whatever happened to her in her past to cause
Mrs Jay to say "It's happened again" after discovering James
dead
- The police think Beth is guilty of James' murder
- Petra thinks Matt will be glad James is dead
- Tara seems to come out when Beth gets really angry
- From Beth's second dream we can see that Mrs Jay also knows the
scarecrow man
Questions that have arisen...
- Who was in the car in the carpark, and why did Petra
seem happy to see them?
- What does Petra know about Beth's dad? Why did she ask Beth if
she knows where he is?
- Why did Petra suddenly turn afraid of Tara/Beth and apologise?
What was she apologising for? For making Tara angry, or for
something else?

What we found out...

Matt still doesn't trust the Jays
- Beth seems to have moments when she reverts becomes 'evil Tara'.
She doesn't seem to be able to control this.
- Beth blacks out whenever she has a flashback dream of her
past
- In her first dream, the scarecrow male figure is friends with
Tara, and Mrs Jay has a male partner, whose face we can't see
- James has been killed
Questions that have arisen...
- Who is the man with Mrs Jay in Beth's first dream?
Could it be her father?
- Who is the scarecrow man? Could that be Beth's father? Is that
why Tara is friends with him?
- Why does Matt continue to suspect the Jays...does he know
something about James' death?
- Who could have killed James?
- Why did Mrs Jay say "It's happened again"? Who else has been
killed? Could she be referring to Tara's past?
