Radar's Patch

The valuer's opinion

'From an overgrown unusable residential site, Radar has done well in clearing the property of all unnecessary shrubbery, rotten decking and the disused swimming pool to create a useable, and accessible site.

The new vegetable gardens 'scattered' over the front lawn do provide for somewhat sustainable living, however ideally these would be less intrusive if they were situated  alongside the deck or the boundary of the property.

The area to the rear of the dwelling is now an open space, featuring a pizza oven, and has good access to the kitchen, this area was unable to be accessed or used prior to Radars efforts.

The dwelling itself took years off its age with a refreshing coat of paint in a modern, light colour.

Internally even the smallest things made a difference to the appearance such as the green on the kitchen cupboards to break up all of the timber, new drapes and light shades.  These things can all be done at reasonably low cost but can make a  big difference, another way to modernise a dwelling is to change to door and cupboard handles to new stainless steel ones.

To rate Radar out of 17 for his efforts he went from a 12 at our first meeting to a generous 15 at the final inspection by having added value and salability to the property.'
