Tim Watkin is the producer of Q+A and writes a weekly blog about the political issues the programme deals with.

Q+A is Tim's first foray into television but he is by no means a stranger to journalism having been a senior writer for the NZ Herald and deputy editor of the NZ Listener.

Tim has won several high profile awards including the Jubilee Prize, Media Peace Awards and several Qantas awards, including being named NZ print journalist of the year in 2005.

He has recently returned from living in San Francisco where he wrote a weekly blog for the Guardian in Britain and freelanced for publications including the Washington Post and San Francisco Chronicle.
