Paul Holmes is one of New Zealand's leading broadcasters, having worked in radio and television for more than 25 years.

Paul has won numerous Qantas Media Awards for his interviewing skills on radio and television and in 2004 he received a CNZM for his services to broadcasting.

Paul began his career in the early 1970s and since then has worked on radio in Australia, the UK and Holland. In March 1987, he became breakfast host of 1ZB in Auckland with its brand new Newstalk format. By early 1989 he had achieved the number one position on breakfast radio by a wide margin, and has remained there ever since.

Paul worked for TVNZ for 16 years, where he had nightly news and current affairs show Holmes, before he left in November 2004.  Earlier this year, he was one of the eight celebrity contestants on Dancing With The Stars. Since then Paul has extended his talents even further, launching his own range of olive oil from olives grown on his Hawke's Bay farm.

On Q+A Paul will conduct interviews and wrap up the political week that was.
