PolyFest 11
2011 Theme: "Ko te kanorau te matua atua, ko te kotahitanga te koa - Diversity is the magic, Unity is the joy."
From 16th to 19th March 2011 Auckland Secondary Schools got together for their annual Maori and Pacific Island's cultural festival better know simply as ' PolyFest'. A huge event that's been going for the last 37 years, this unique cultural festival features traditional music, dance, costume and speeches that allow you to experience the South Pacific.
The festival is an iconic annual event that celebrates the pride and passion of our Maori and Pacific Island communities through cultural song, dance, speech and art. It is a place where we celebrate youth and all that they bring to the future.
As well as the 5 main stages - Maori, Cook Islands, Niue, Samoan and Tongan, there is an opportunity to view other cultures on the Wednesday and Thursday of the Festival, through the Diversity Stage.
TVNZ will bring you some awesome
