Prime Minister John Key is giving little away as to whether embattled MP Richard Worth has a future with the National Party.

The former minister is subject to two complaints by two separate women, one of which is being investigated by police.

Key says he cannot say whether Worth's future in the party will be discussed when the caucus meets next week.

He says it will depend on whether Worth attends the meeting, whether police have laid charges against him, and whether the other complainant has provided the text messages he is alleged to have sent.

Key has said he will not meet with that complainant until there is proof a lurid text message actually exists.
