The Prime Minister is keen to open the door to foreign investors.
John Key is flagging a review of the rules around overseas investment in his speech to the Act Party conference on Saturday.
He says details of the review will be announced next week by Finance Minister Bill English.
The idea is to make it easier for foreigners to invest in New Zealand while at the same time protecting sensitive land, assets and resources.
Key says it won't mean carte blanche for companies from overseas to do what they like. He says the review ties in with other steps the government is taking to reduce red tape.
