Labour MP Ruth Dyson is seeing red over what she claims are potential pay and service cuts at Taihape Hospital.
She claims nurses at Taihape Health have been asked to take a 30% pay cut or the hospital where they work will be closed.
Dyson also believes Taihape is facing losing all its frontline local health services if the hospital closes.
But Associate Health Minister Peter Dunne says the nurses' pay conditions are currently the subject of negotiations with the Whanganui District Health Board.
He says there is no suggestion in the pipeline that Taihape Hospital will be closed and it is "grossly inappropriate" for ministers to intervene in an industrial relations process.
