Key looks at student loan debt

The Prime Minister says student loans will remain interest-free for people who remain in the country.

In a speech yesterday, John Key said student debt was a disaster economically and the issue needed looking at.

He told parliament today he was referring to the fact the student loan book is now $11 million. Key said the government is looking at better ways to collect loan repayments from overseas borrowers.
