The Green Party will be making a big decision this weekend when it holds its annual conference in Dunedin.
Co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimons will step down from the position clearing the way for her replacement to settle in to the job before she leaves politics at the next election.
Sue Bradford and Metiria Turei are in the running to join Russel Norman at the party's helm.
Fitzsimons has been an MP since 1996 and was the electorate MP for Coromandel between 1999 and 2002. She has been the co-leader of the Greens since 1995 when the Greens were still part of the Alliance Party.
