Labour Party leader Phil Goff and two other Labour MPs are heading to Samoa and Tonga on Monday, on a four day visit looking at the recovery and rehabilitation needs in both countries following the recent tsunami.

He will be joined on the trip by the party's Pacific Island spokeswoman Winnie Laban and Foreign Affairs spokesman Chris Carter.

The group is to meet with affected communities and their leaders to discuss their future needs and ongoing recovery programmes.
