A review of the controversial foreshore and seabed law is to be released on Wednesday afternoon.
The 160-page document will detail recommendations about possible changes in the law.
The review has been done as part of the confidence and supply agreement between National and the Maori Party which has long opposed the law.
The legislation, enacted by Labour in 2004, sparked immense controversy with iwi as it took Crown ownership of the foreshore and seabed.
It's not clear what action will follow the review.
The government will not actually give its formal response for a few weeks yet.
