The MP who missed out on the Greens co-leadership seems to be taking time out to lick her wounds.
Sue Bradford was noticeably absent from a leaders speech at the party conference in Dunedin on Sunday,
On Saturday, about 120 delegates selected the new co-leader, MP Metiria Turei winning the position ahead of fellow list MP Sue Bradford.
Veteran activist Bradford seemed to accept her fate even before the voting begun, saying she would be surprised if she won the role.
Many supporters are confident they chose the right woman for the top job.
"I'm really stoked to see a confident young woman coming through," says one supporter.
However there is also plenty of sympathy for Bradford.
"It does knock you back, but I know that Sue is a strong person and has strong shoulders," says another supporter.
The Green Party is being careful to promise its supporters that while there are new and different faces at the top, the Green values and causes won't change in the transition from old to new.
