A group of Auckland motorcyclists have been playing Santa, delivering presents to politicians good and bad.
It was a nasty surprise for many MPs who made the naughty list for their support of the ACC motorbike levy increases.
The bikers taking part in the Christmas procession are not jolly. In fact they are angry over the recent increase in ACC motorbike levies which is why they decided to personally deliver their message to MPs.
Motorcyclist Anne James says they have a Christmas message for them.
"We just want to say to them 'I hope you have a lovely Christmas'. For the ones that are supporting us and are positive towards the changes that we'd like to see made to ACC, 'thank-you very much'. They're getting an orange. For those that are not and are still pursuing the privatisation of ACC, they're getting a lump of coal," James says.
According to the bikers, the Green MPs have been nice.
Green MP David Clendon says the proposed levies are on the naughty side.
"It is a bit naughty, taking on motorcyclists and other quite vulnerable parts of our communities to be hitting them with the very excessive levies," Clendon says.
On the naughty list is National MP Melissa Lee.
James says their message may not change anything today but it is an ongoing message that shows they are not happy and are not going to go away.
