Regional Advertising
TVNZ has four broadcast regions available on TV ONE, allowing advertisers to separate out and reach close to 100% of their local audience.
That is because all regional television ads aired on TV ONE appear on both digital and analogue signals. It's cost effective too, because regional advertising rates are calculated at a percentage of the national rate, as below:

This map reflects regional advertising breakouts on TV ONE under the analogue and Digital Satellite (DTH) signals. All viewers of SKY HD Satellite receive the Auckland transmission, only certain areas of the country can receive the Digital Terrestrial (DTT) transmission.

There are two anomalies to note:
i. Coromandel receives the Auckland Regional signal on the analogue and Freeview Satellite platforms, but receives the Waikato Regional signal on the SKY Satellite platform.
ii. Some viewers in the Picton/Kaikoura area may receive the Central regional breakout on the analogue signal.
Regional breaks are available in the following day parts on TV ONE:
0600-2400 Monday to Saturday
1200-2400 Sunday
A maximum of 60 second duration can be booked for one spot within a regional break.
Please note: TV ONE Plus 1 will be broadcast nationally with an Auckland feed; that is, no regional break outs.
