FLASHFORWARD
An unexplained, cataclysmic event knocks out the entire population of the world at the exact same moment - and as they black out, everyone gets a glimpse into their own future. After two minutes and 17 seconds, the population reawakens to the chaos around them.
In his flash forward, LA FBI Agent Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes, Shakespeare in Love) glimpses a terrifying future that he has to stop at all costs. As Mark and his team struggle to work out what caused this bizarre event, the only thing they have to go on is a huge mosaic of humanity's flash forwards, as people start to ask each other, 'what did you see?'
From the writer of The Dark Knight, and starring Sonya Walger ( Lost), Jack Davenport ( Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End), Peyton List ( Mad Men), John Cho ( Harold and Kumar), Courtney B. Vance ( ER) - FlashForward is one of the most eagerly anticipated shows to come out of the US this year, and it's coming to TV2 in 2010.
THE MIDDLE
Patricia Heaton ( Everybody Loves Raymond) stars as Frankie Heck in this warm and witty single-camera comedy about raising a family and lowering your expectations.
Frankie is middle aged, middle class and living in the middle of the country, drawing on all her skills to keep the dysfunctional family running smoothly. This harried wife and working mother of three uses her wry wit and sense of humour to try to get her family through each day intact. Frankie has a job (not a career) selling cars at the town's only surviving car dealer; her husband, Mike (Neil Flynn, Scrubs), is a manager at the local quarry. In between juggling shifts and picking up fast food dinners eaten in front of the TV, Frankie and Mike raise their kids with love and solid Midwestern practicality as they battle through each day. Together, they're putting 'The Middle' on the map.
MATHEW & MARC'S ROCKY ROAD
TO BOLLYWOOD
Following the huge success of previous Matthew & Marc's Rocky Road adventures, the boys are back with a brand new series, this time visiting India.
Each episode will follow Matthew & Marc as they learn the intricacies of the culture including cultural dancing and dress.
THIS IS NOT MY
LIFE
A brand new local mystery drama, set in the near future. In the idyllic, eco-friendly town of Waimoana, a man wakes to find he has a wonderful life - but he can't remember any of it.
His family tell him that his name is 'Alec Ross' (Charles Mesure, Outrageous Fortune), and that he has amnesia. After being taken to an institution called Wellness, he is told he needs urgent surgery. Suspicious, he tries to escape but is forcibly subdued, and awakens peacefully the next day. Everything seems perfect - his house, his family, his life; except that he finds a message from himself that makes his blood run cold.
"If you're watching this - whatever people are saying, don't trust them. Your family is not your family. You are not Alec Ross."
COUGAR TOWN
With an ugly divorce behind her and a 40th birthday lurking just round the corner, Jules Cobb (Courtney Cox, Friends) longs for a little more action in her life. The available men her age are seemingly only interested in dating barely-legal hotties.
Egged on by her very married and very irreverent best friend Elie (Christina Miller, Scrubs) and her determined assistant Laurie (Busy Philipps, He's Just Not That Into You), Jules reluctantly dips her toe back into the dating pool. To her surprise, she hits it off with a nice young guy - with the emphasis on the young - named Bobby (Brian Van Holt, House of Wax) and discovers a whole new lease of life.
THE VAMPIRE
DIARIES
It's Elena's (Nina Dobrev) first day back at Mystic Falls High School since the tragic death of her parents. Along with her Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning), Elena tries her best to look after her troubled younger brother, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen, Everwood), and salvage what family they have left. The first day is already shaping up to be a struggle for Elena until she meets the mysterious new kid at school, Stefan (Paul Wesley, Army Wives). Elena is touched that he can relate to what she's going through. What Elena doesn't know is that Stefan is a vampire, constantly resisting the urge to taste her blood.
As their undeniable connection grows deeper, Stefan's dangerous older brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder, Lost), shows up to wreak havoc on the town of Mystic Falls - and claim Elena for himself.
DROP DEAD DIVA
When the beautiful, but vapid, wannabe model Deb (Brooke D'Orsay, Gary Unmarried) has a fatal car accident, she suddenly finds herself in front of Heaven's gatekeeper, Fred (Ben Feldman, Cloverfield). Fred measures up her life but can't allocate her a spot in the afterlife, as she's lived a life devoid of good or bad deeds. Outraged, she attempts to persuade him to return her to her shallow existence - but she is accidentally relegated to the body of the recently deceased Jane Bingum (newcomer Brooke Elliott), who is a brilliant, thoughtful and plus-size attorney, with a loyal assistant in tow (played by Margaret Cho, 17 Again).
Jane has always lived in the shadow of her more comely colleagues, whereas Deb has always relied on her external beauty. Now, by a twist of fate and a bolt of divine intervention, both personalities must learn to coexist in Jane's plus-size frame, in the ultimate showdown between brains and beauty.
HUMAN TARGET
Christopher Chance (Mark Valley, Fringe, Boston Legal) is a mysterious security agent for hire who assumes different identities according to his client's needs - at times literally becoming a human target.
Using the popular DC Comics title as a springboard for intelligent action and adventure, Human Target provides a thrilling ride with no clear boundaries. Resourceful, driven and compelled by a force known only to him, this take-charge antihero is on hand if someone is threatened, or a life is in danger - for a price.
