TVNZ'S BRANDED CONTENT INITIATIVE
More often you, our clients and agencies, are talking to us about ways to get closer to your consumers to provide a deeper brand experience beyond the traditional media mix. Branded content is an internationally fast-growing discipline, crucial in the increasingly complex media world where viewers are in charge.
But we're proposing to take this further and invest, with you, in branded content that we co-develop. We're not talking about pure product placement, or a long-form advertorial, but the exciting process of co-creation to produce high quality video content that is relevant and attractive to its target audience, while also delivering on the objectives of a brand.
This might mean creating an original show, or adopting an international format and adapting it for our purposes. We're putting up a million dollars for calendar year 2014 to put towards client-generated branded content initiatives (that might seem far away, but good TV takes time).
