Elizabeth Grey
Miss New Zealand
Age: 23
Don't let those blonde beauty queen looks fool you - Miss Universe
NZ Lizzie Grey proves herself to be a tough competitor on the
latest series of Treasure Island.
Even though the former professional ballet dancer keeps fit and
healthy with daily runs or walks, plus regular cardio and weight
training, Lizzie soon realised just how demanding life on Treasure
Island can be.
"The physical challenges were the hardest, but I kept pushing myself with help from my team. I learned that I was capable of a lot more than I thought - both physically and mentally. I tend to lack confidence in myself at times and could do with pushing myself to do things I wouldn't normally do."
You might think that what she normally does is impressive enough
in itself. She was a professional ballet dancer for two years, then
a flight attendant before becoming a model. This led her
to the Miss Universe NZ title and she competed in the Miss Universe
pageant in Los Angeles in 2006.
She's also an ambassador for the CureKids and Hope Foundation New
Zealand charities.
