April Ieremia
Television host
Age:39
Since making her television debut in 1990, former New
Zealand netball star April has barely been off our screens.
She's appeared on shows including Moro Sports Extra, Sports Night
and covered sports on TVNZ's network news. In addition to
these she's played a key role in providing coverage from major
events including the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and Kuala
Lumpur, and the Olympic Games in Sydney and Atlanta. April's work
with TVNZ won her the 1997 Qantas Media Award for Best
Presenter.
Her television appearances havn't all been sports related though.
In 1998 she hosted episodes of The Money Game and her own show,
April's Angels. In 2006 she featured in popular TV2 shows Top of
the Class and Shock Treatment.
April, who celebrated her 39th birthday on the island, thinks was was also the oldest person on the island.
"The least fit and the oldest!," she laughs. "The smart money won't be on me lasting very long at all."
