Paper Dresses is a unique collaboration between New Zealand Fashion Week, KLEENEX COTTONELLE and NZ Fashion Tech, that gives the work of emerging fashion designers a chance to foot it with some of our biggest fashion names on New Zealand’s most glamorous stage.
From a class of 34, three stunning dresses made from toilet paper are selected by a panel of judges including top fashion photographer Marissa Findlay and Zambesi’s Elizabeth Findlay.
The chosen three took centre-stage at a photo shoot fit for the fashion heights of Paris or Milan, and then on to grace the runway at New Zealand Fashion Week in September.
Here is where you will see three of the young designers’ journeys - from design brief to astonishingly beautiful reality.
