Veteran quarterback Brett Favre was in vintage form as his Minnesota Vikings thrashed the Seattle Seahawks 35-9 on Monday (NZT).
Favre tossed four touchdowns and was close to perfect, completing 22 of 25 pass attempts for 213 yards.
With a huge buffer Favre was able to sit out the fourth quarter as the Vikings improved their season record to 9-1, keeping them firmly on top of the NFC North.
Wide receivers Sidney Rice (six receptions, 89 yards, two touchdowns) and Visanthe Shiancoe (eight receptions, 78 yards, one touchdown) were Favre's favourite targets.
Meanwhile superstar running back Adrian Peterson had 24 carries for 89 yards while Chester Taylor rushed for 79 yards.
And while Matt Hasselbeck threw 231 yards for Seattle, their running game was atrocious with four players combining for 13 carries and four total yards.
The victory keeps momentum behind Favre's fairytale comeback season which has him already eyeing up the playoffs.
