Multisport champion Richard Ussher and his wife Elina have dominated this year's Queen Charlotte Classic event.
The South Island race attracted 400 competitors including New Zealand's Olympic gold medal kayaker Ian Ferguson.
Ussher broke away in the 14km run along the Queen Charlotte Track amd continued his lead through the 50km cycle leg and 8km paddle to break the course record by 11 minutes.
Ussher's wife Elina shattered the women's record by 19 minutes.
