David Tua may get the chance to fight for a world heavyweight title in 2010.
There is renewed interest in the heavyweight division following David Haye's surprise win over Russian Nikolai Valuev in their WBA world title bout earlier this month.
US boxing commentator James Smith says Haye has expressed an interest in fighting Tua should he defend his title against John Ruiz next year.
Smith says Tua's promoter Cedric Kushner has been in Las Vegas and has spoken with Haye's promoters.
James Smith says Tua would be a much more attractive proposition for Haye than the Klitschko brothers, the holders of the IBF, WBO and WBC belts.
