Auckland Cup winner Shez Sinsational will contest three weight-for-age races at the Brisbane winter carnival.
New Plymouth trainer Allan Sharrock confirmed on Wednesday the winter racing programme for the triple Group 1 winning daughter of Linwood Park sire Ekraar.
"She is not going to Singapore because the quarantine period would put her out of commission for too long," Sharrock said.
"Instead she will go to Brisbane where she will run in the Hollindale Cup, Doomben Cup and the O'Shea Stakes," he said.
"These are three ideal weight-for-age races for her in which I expect she will be highly competitive."
Sharrock confirmed that the successful Auckland Cup winning jockey, James McDonald, will have first right of refusal on riding Shiz Sensational in her Brisbane engagements.
Sharrock said Shez Sensational had been back in light work for two weeks. "I saw her in the paddock this week and she looks massive. The Auckland Cup has taken nothing out of her."
If the Ekraar mare requires a race in New Zealand prior to going to Brisbane the most likely target is the open 1400m event at Tauranga on April 21.
