Ronnie Brown sidelined by foot injury

Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown has been ruled out of Friday's game at the Carolina Panthers because of a foot injury, the team said on Wednesday.

Brown, 27, suffered the injury in Sunday's 25-23 win over Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the team said his prognosis was uncertain for the rest of the regular season.

Brown leads Miami in rushing for a fifth consecutive season, having rushed for 648 yards in this campaign.

He will be replaced on Friday by Ricky Williams.
