Australian swimmer Stephanie Rice has been dumped as the face of
luxury car brand Jaguar after tweeting a gay slur on Twitter.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Jaguar Australia confirmed
Rice, who had been employed as a brand ambassador since the start
of the year, had been axed.
It's understood underwear firm Davenport Australia and Channel 7
have both decided to keep her on their books.
Rice sparked outrage when she tweeted "Suck on that f**gots" after
the Wallabies beat South Africa in the weekend.
Her 'support' for the Australian rugby team is motivated by her
alleged relationship with Wallabies first
five-eighth Quade Cooper.
A liaison with Michael Phelps made headlines during the Beijing
Olympics while party pictures of Rice and friends, posted on
various Facebook pages, have attracted some unwanted media
attention.
