The Baltimore Ravens have signed kicker Billy Cundiff to take over from Steve Hauschka, the team said on their website on Thursday.

Second-year kicker Hauschka was waived by the Ravens on Wednesday, less than 24 hours after he missed a 36-yard field goal in a 16-0 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Cundiff, 29, played for the Dallas Cowboys from 2002-05, connecting on 60 of 82 field goals.

He worked out for the Ravens last week.
