The Baltimore Ravens have reinforced their commitment to a strong passing game for next season by agreeing a new two-year deal with wide receiver Derrick Mason.

The deal, worth $8 million according to the Baltimore Sun, comes after the Ravens traded for receiver Anquan Boldin last week and signed wideout Donte Stallworth last month.

The 36-year-old Mason caught 73 passes for 1,028 yards last season and his chemistry with young quarterback Joe Flacco has helped boost the team's air attack.

"I'm getting myself ready to play football and help the Ravens win," Mason said on the team's website (www.baltimoreravens.com).

"But the first thing I am going to do is take my family on vacation."

Mason will enter the 2010 season 14th on the NFL's all-time reception list with 863 catches.
