New Zealand"s major summer sprints are on the racing schedule for talented sprinter Miss Raggedy Ann.

Wentwood Grange-owned Miss Raggedy Ann scored a stylish win in the $14,000 Platinum Homes 1300 at the Racing Tauranga meeting on Monday (November 14).

She was ridden by 3kg claiming apprentice Vincent Ho and won by three-quarters of a length paying $6.20 to win and $2.30 to place.

It was the third win of Miss Raggedy Ann"s racing career and she also boasts a placing at Listed level when third in the Tauranga Clasisc in June. As well she has recorded two second placings and four third placings from a total of 12 career starts for total stake earnings of $36,187.

Miss Raggedy Ann posted her first win at the Opuanke Racing Club meeting last December and went on to score another win at the Rotorua Racing Club meeting in May. Both of those wins were registered over 1200 metres.

Miss Raggedy Ann is now being aimed by Matamata trainer Andrew Scott at the country's Group 1 sprint features, the Concorde Handicap at Avondale in December and the $1 million Telegraph Handicap (1200m) at Trentham in January.
