Paralympic shooter wins three medals

New Zealand Paralympic shooter Michael Johnson has recorded a three-medal haul from the 2009 IPC Shooting Open Asian Championship at the Jikji Cup in South Korea.

The 25-year-old from Auckland, who won a bronze medal at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing in the 10 metre standing shooting SH2 event, won a gold in the R9 50metre .22 rifle in Korea.

He also took with a silver in the R4 10metre Air rifle standing and a bronze in the R5 10metre Air rifle prone.

Christchurch's Grant Philip was unplaced in his competition.
