An Australian newspaper is claiming Caster Semenya is a hermaphrodite, someone with both male and female sexual characteristics.
The 18-year-old stormed to a stunning 800 metres World Track and Field Championship gold in Berlin last month amid controversy over her gender .
Sydney's Daily Telegraph claims leaked test results have revealed Semenya has no womb or ovaries.
It claims the IAAF is ready to disqualify Semenya from future events and advise her to have immediate surgery because her condition carries grave health risks.
They have also not ruled out stripping Semenya of her 800 metres world championships gold medal.
But the body is hesitating because of an expected backlash from South Africa, which has hotly defended their "girl" , and has lodged a complaint with the UN's human rights body of racism and sexism.
