Former world heavyweight champ Mike Tyson is about to take on the more genteel sport of pigeon racing.
American media reported on Wednesday that Animal Planet is about to launch a new reality show featuring the notorious puglicist competing against seasoned pigeon racer.
The 43-year-old Tyson has been involved with breeding pigeons for most of his life but has little or no experience with racing.
The show, with a working title of 'Taking on Tyson', claims that it will bring viewers inside the "intensely competitive and bizarrely fascinating world [of pigeon racing]."
Animal Planet said Tyson will be assisted by experts as he trains and races the birds.
Tyson, who was nicknamed Iron Mike and know for his ultra-aggressive fighting style, was heavyweight champion of the world on four separate occasions in the mid 1980's and 1990's.
